Archangel Michael. The commander of the heavenly hosts and protector against all evil. Saint Michael stands in all his power and magnificence, traditional in the Byzantine style. His figure radiates divine strength and authority over the spiritual realm.
Originally designed by our artistic director and painted by our iconographers in our workshop in southern Burgundy, France. The icon is then reproduced on a wood panel, hand-gilded to the leaf, and finished with enamelled varnish applied by brush. Each piece is finished by hand, so slight variations from one icon to another are part of the craft.

Each icon carries centuries of tradition. The composition, the gesture, the colours follow a long-standing language; we redraw the line and lay the gold without modernising what was meant to stay still.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners; the enamelled varnish is meant to age slowly and gain depth over years of careful handling.
