Each icon is finished by hand in a small workshop in southern Burgundy, wood panels, mineral pigments, hand-gilded.

I.

Hand-painted

Drawn, pigmented and finished by a single hand. No two pieces are identical, the small inflections of the brush are part of what you receive.

II.

Hand-gilded

Laid on bole, burnished, then sealed under enamelled varnish. The shimmer is the metal itself, not a pigment.

III.

Made in France

Family workshop in Montceau-les-Mines, southern Burgundy. From panel to varnish, every step is finished in-house.

Our workshop

Forty years of one quiet trade.

We have made religious icons in southern Burgundy since 1986. Drawing the line, mixing the pigment, laying the leaf, applying the varnish, every step is done by the same small team, at the same long table.

We do not import. We do not subcontract. The pieces leave the workshop only once the gold has set and the panel is clean to the eye.
